Parish Finance Council assists the pastor in the administration of parish temporal matters. An active, well-formed Parish Finance Council is a key element for promoting the financial health of a parish, assuring accountability and assisting the pastor with his temporal responsibilities.
In the administration of temporal goods of the parish, Canon 532 defines the role of the pastor as the authoritative representative of the parish.

Introduction of Mr. Bryan Coulter – Director of Finance and Administrative Services for the Diocese
Mr. Coulter gave us some guidelines for parish finance councils, some benchmarks to strive for, as well as some practical guidance. After that, he departed and the meeting continued with the regular members. It was decided that the council would meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
A balance sheet and historical financials were distributed by Chad Andra, as he is the CPA for the parish and school, to the members for review and questions. Initial thoughts were discussed, but nothing in depth, as this was the first meeting.
